My Sharona is 80s? I thought that was late 70s? ;-)
i always thought 'Love Shack' was from the 80's.
What about "Wanna be my Lover" by La Bousche and "The Sign" by Ace of Base? Those are very popular in the 1990s.
NELZ: Actually you're right. "My Sharona" hit number one on August 25, 1979. But it remained very popular in the early 80s and was resurrected in the movie "Reality Bites", which perhaps is why I keep associating it with the 80s.

CVJ: Again, another case of a song stradling two decades. The album Cosmic Thing was released June 27, 1989. "Love Shack" and the other songs remained vastly popular in the early 90s.
EDWARD: Oh my gosh, yes! "The Sign" was everywhere! La Bousche's song wasn't that huge here, though.
